Safety tools for
front-line clinicians.

Citation-first, PHI-free educational references for the moments when clinical math gets done quickly — often on a phone, between patients.

About us

Panacea Innovations LLC is a clinician-founded California multi-member LLC focused on safety tools for front-line clinicians — from opioid prescribing to regional anesthesia. We were founded by two military veterans — including a disabled US service member — and we're based in San Diego, California.

We started with MMEasy because morphine milligram equivalent (MME) calculations are the kind of math that gets done quickly, often on a phone between patients, and almost always with a mental shortcut. Every shortcut has a half-life. Ours is to give clinicians tools that do the math correctly, show their work, cite their sources, and are honest about what they can't do.

Products

MMEasy

Opioid dose conversion via morphine milligram equivalents

An educational MME reference for clinicians and students: single-dose conversions, 24-hour MME/day totals, a dose-banded methadone starting estimator, and transdermal fentanyl patch conversions — every factor cited to McPherson, Demystifying Opioid Conversion Calculations (2nd ed., ASHP 2018).

  • Free Single Dose Converter — no account required
  • Full access with a free account during our launch period
  • Mobile-first — built for the phone in your white-coat pocket
  • No PHI, no patient identifiers, ever
Open MMEasy

MMEasy is an educational tool only — not a clinical decision-support system, not a medical device, and not a substitute for clinical judgment.

ClotClock

Anticoagulation & regional anesthesia timing Development preview

Enter the patient's anticoagulant(s), last dose time, renal function, and planned block — ClotClock returns one unambiguous, guideline-cited answer: proceed now, wait until a specific time, do not proceed, or insufficient guidance. Built with an anesthesiologist as clinical lead.

  • One verdict with a live countdown — placement, removal, and resumption milestones together
  • Every interval cited to its guideline; conflicting positions shown side by side
  • Conservative by construction — missing data lengthens intervals, never shortens them
  • Runs entirely in your browser — no patient data ever leaves the device
Open ClotClock

ClotClock is in development preview: interval values are unverified placeholders pending clinical review, and the app says so on every screen. Educational tool only — not a clinical decision-support system, not a medical device, and not a substitute for clinical judgment.

More clinical calculators and references are in development.

Our principles

📖 Every number is cited

Every conversion factor and algorithm traces back to a named, published source. No magic numbers, no opaque tables — open "show the math" and see the formula, the inputs, and the citation.

🔒 PHI-free by design

Our tools never accept patient names, MRNs, DOBs, or any identifier. That keeps us out of HIPAA scope and your patients' data out of any database.

🎓 Educational, not diagnostic

These are reference tools — the way you'd use a printed conversion chart, but interactive. They do not replace clinical judgment, pharmacist review, or specialist consultation.

📱 Mobile-first

Built for the phone in your white-coat pocket, not for a workstation. Big tap targets, fast loads, results you can act on in the hallway.
